The Britannica Education Western India Confluence 2025 in association with EduDrone – WE CONNECT was a landmark educational event held in Pune, bringing together school leaders, educators, and academic professionals to discuss pressing issues and innovations in the education sector. The conference featured a well-structured agenda with keynote speeches, panel, debate and round table discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among institutions. The welcome and inaugural address was delivered by Mr. Ryan Bangera, Deputy General Manager and Sal De Spirito, Global President and Head, shared Britannica’s 256-year journey, exploring the transformation of learning and the future of education.
One of the most engaging sessions was the fire-side conversation featuring Lt. Gen. Surendra Kulkarni, who discussed the balance between supporting students and building resilience, moderated by Sunny Lalwani, Deputy Director, Britannica Education. Another significant moment was the unveiling of BELLS, an initiative led by Ms. Pragya Pandita(Head, Academics & Product Innovation)
Mr. Gaurav Gurani(Head, Customer Success), focusing on academic excellence and product innovation. The panel discussion on unifying educational diversity amidst India’s educational renaissance, moderated by Dr. Kajal Chhatija, Founder & CEO of EduDrone – WE CONNECT, featured esteemed educators, including Dr. Revathi Srinivasan (Singhania Group of Schools), Ms. Debika Chatterjee (JBCN International School), Dr. Amrita Vohra (Elpro International), Ms. Satwant Palekar (Birla Open Minds), Ms. Aditi Banerjee (Lodha World School), and Ms. Aanchal Vasandani (Vibgyor Group of Schools). The discussion focused on integrating diverse educational approaches and fostering collaboration among institutions.
The afternoon sessions included an energizer drum circle, followed by another debate discussion on the two sides of a coin on educational diversity, featuring prominent academic leaders such as Dr. Jayshree Venkatraman (SNBP International School), Ms. Lakshmi Kumar (Avasara Academy), Dr. Ashwini Kulkarni (City Pride), Ms. Pradnya Gokhale (Kothari International), Ms. Aradhana Rana (The Icon Public School), and Dr. Neelam Moolchandani (Priyadarshani Group of Schools). A keynote session on leadership lessons was delivered by Ambassador Dr. Deepak Vohra, a former Indian ambassador, which left an everlasting impact on each school leader present at the confluence.
A round-table discussion, moderated by Dr. Kajal Chhatija and Ms. Nidhi Wadhwa, Deputy Director, Strategy and Marketing, explored best practices for unifying diversity in education, with contributions from leading school principals and academic directors, including Ms. Jyoti Jeswani (G.K.Gurukul), Ms. Amruta Prabhu (HDFC School), Ms. Ira Ghosh (Victorious Kidds Educares), Ms. Monica Chhabra (MIS International School), Ms. Rashmi Gupta (CP Goenka International), and Mr. Radhey Shyam Pandey (Sahodaya Schools, Gujarat) to name a few out of 12 table masters.
The event also included a special honoring and welcoming session for schools joining Britannica’s Collaborative Learning Community (BCCL), reinforcing the importance of partnerships in education. The conference concluded with a thank-you address, group photograph, and networking session, allowing participants to build connections and reflect on the key takeaways of the event.
